About The Formspider Team

Hi, I am Yalım K. Gerger, creator of Formspider. I would like to introduce you to the people behind Formspider.

Formspider is designed and developed by Gerger at Istanbul Technical University ARI Technopark. We use Formspider in all of our projects. We are incredibly excited about it. Below are the people who contribute to Formspider. It has been my privilege to work with them every day.

Dr. Paul Dorsey

Paul is the Founder and President of Dulcian Inc and advisor of Formspider. He has all the accolades that one can possibly have in the Oracle community. But they mean nothing to me. To me, he is a role model to look up to and a friend through good times and bad times. Paul is currently in Ethiopia, leading the development of the countries financial management system using Formspider.

Orhan Türkoğlu @turkogluorhan

Orhan is the first employee I hired. If you are embarking on a journey with a lot of unknowns ( read: starting a company ) you need someone that you can rely on to cover your back through fog, smoke and chaos. He is THE ONE.

H. Kutay Çilingiroğlu @KutayCil

Kutay never gives up. He thrives when he faces issues out of his comfort zone. He craves for challenge. When he can’t solve a problem, he thinks deeper, learns more, works harder until he can. He never gives up. He never ever gives up.

Aziz Ünsal @azizunsal

Aziz is an artist, who improves everything he touches. He understands that no one needs permission to contribute and that’s what I love most about him.

Samet Başaran @sametbasaran

No matter how big, difficult, critical or urgent the problem is, when I hear Samet say “OK, I’ll take care of it”, I stop worrying about it.

Serkan Kasapbaşı @SerkanKasapbasi

Serkan is an amazing software architect. In my book, a design not sanctioned by him is not complete yet.

Uğur Koçak @ugrkck

Uğur gets it. He is like Keanu Reeves in the first Matrix movie when he starts beating up the bad guys at the end. He sees the Matrix as it is. During design meetings, I sometimes catch him wondering what the hell we are arguing about when the solution is so obvious.

Yüksel Karaman

Specifically, stuff we blame him when something goes wrong includes but is not limited to Error Handling, API’s, Import&Export routines, documentation of any sort and any kind of database performance bottleneck. I think he has solved the hardest coding problems in Formspider and did not get enough credit for them...until now.

Mehmet Serdar Biçer @msbicer

This is a guy whose Twitter page says: Living is nothing without coding. I throw at him the hardest coding tasks and he looks at me like “Is that all you got?”.

Hasan Tatar

Hasan is unique in a unique way. He is unusual in an unusual way. After all this time we’ve worked together, he still continues to surprise me, which is very surprising. Hasan, don’t ever change. Don’t you ever change.

Onur Bayram

Onur is the best, fastest and baddest Formspider developer. My project plans usually look like this: Give Onur an half baked spec and Formspider and stay out of his way.

Korhan Şabanoğlu @ksabanoglu

Korhan is genius, lazy, pragmatic and lucky. So send him to solve messy, complicated problems that no one can. He will find a way.

Öskan Şavlı

Öskan is candid. You’d better listen to him. He is fearless. You’d better fear him. He is brutally right. You’d better accept it. Because there is nothing he can’t do once he sets his mind to it.

İbrahim Sandallı @ibrahimsandalli

İbrahim enters comments to our bug tracking system that would pass as essays in scientific journals. He started working with us right out of school. After two years, I thanked him for teaching me so much.

Yücel Ünlü

He has one of those grins that only really brilliant people have on their faces when someone goes “How the hell did you do this?”. I know it because I get to ask him the question a lot.

Serdar Gökçen @asdr

Serdar is the newest member of our team but watch him work with the rest of the gang and you would think that he’s been around forever. With great technical and interpersonal skills, he made us instantly better. I can visualize him being the role model of our new hires for many years down the road.

Aslı Gerger

She is caring and compassionate. Even though she spends not more than an hour in the office every month, her presence can be felt in every little detail in it. She manages everything other than the software so that we can focus on the software.

Special Thanks

I would like to sincerely thank the brilliant team at the Dulcian NJ Office, Ileana, John, Michael, Hassan, Grigoriy, Tom, Mark, Xiaozhou, Roger, Jeremy, Bob, Lisa and Robin who use Formspider since day one, log bugs, find workarounds until we solve them and build amazing software with the framework. Without their support, thoughtful insights and comments we could not do our jobs.

I would also like to thank the incredible administrative staff of Dulcian; Christine, Jessica and Walt for their great work. They have always been there for us whenever we needed help. But above all, and much much more importantly, I would like to send billions and billions and billions of thanks to the unnamed hero behind Dulcian whose presence can be felt everywhere in the office and defines the company more than anything else. As it is the case with all the heroes, she wants to stay anonymous but cannot prevent me to heap praise, love and compassion on her.
